James Pennefather

Lives: North Shore

Occupation:  IT Training and Marketing

Candidate for the Legislative Council

Since receiving a bike on his 8th birthday James has been riding all his life, with some great adventures on bicycles around the world including North America, Asia and Europe.

Currently living on Sydney’s North Shore with his young family, he regularly commutes to work in the city and can’t think of a better way to get there. His real passion however is mountain biking  on the weekend. With the opening up of trails across the Sydney area including Hornsby, extra trails at Manly and the Blue Mountains local MTB has never looked so good, generating new converts all the time.

An aspect of cycling James really likes is its inclusion across the whole community. It doesn’t matter what a person’s age, gender or background is, almost everyone has ridden a bike at some stage or has children and friends who do so. With cycling’s continual growth in popularity and importance, there are some great opportunities to reform our transport system to provide better options and accessibility for the whole community.
